Coolness was very cool, but was it an obstacle to something else?

Hilary wasn’t sure. Often, she felt, she would be close to sensing something else, something shall we say “deeper,” but every time, right then, something cool would happen.

Dorian Geisler grew up in Texas, attended U.C. Berkeley, and taught high-school English as an NYC Teaching Fellow. He graduated from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop in the spring of 2010. He recently cofounded the review HOOT.
